Located in Coralville, Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is on the riverwalk, within a 10-minute drive of Coralville VA Care Clinic and Carver-Hawkeye Arena. This hotel is 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from University of Iowa and 2.4 mi (3.9 km) from Kinnick Stadium.
Stay in one of 286 guestrooms featuring Smart televisions. Your room comes with a pillowtop bed. Cable programming provides entertainment, and wired and wireless Internet access is available for a surcharge. Private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature deep soaking bathtubs and complimentary toiletries.
If you plan to open your room for trading, do not request ‘Vendor Floor’ when you make your reservations - They will be assigned at the Gathering with your registration.
A note of clarification regarding parking at the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center:
Several members have inquired as to the eight dollar parking fee that is listed on the Hotel website. As part of our contract with the Coralville Marriott, that fee will be waived for attendees staying in the hotel. In order to receive this benefit, you will simply need have your parking ticket validated at one of the Hotel’s check-in desks after you’ve parked your vehicle and checked in to your room.

No Gathering or any Aladdin event for that matter is complete without room sales! Folks open their
door for attendees to come browse, shop, wheel & deal while renewing acquaintances and making new friends.
Registrants and dealers display their lamps, parts and items for sale
in their rooms during this truely unique experience. This activity is the main social activity and the core of the Gathering.
- Hospitality Room will be featuring cookies. Bring your home-made cookies with copies of your recipe to share with the others.

- Thursday Auction The "All Aladdin" auction is the first official event of the Gathering
where price trends are often established. The auction is open to the public whose purchases will be subject to a 5% buyers premium.

- First Timers You will know them by a sticker on their name tag. First timers meet Friday morning at
8 AM. Please consider donating something as a prize to the attendees. Drop off donations at the Hospitality Room or give to the KRTs listed for the event.

The Display Room is devoted to different Aladdin
themes and usually shows the rare and scarce Aladdin items and often
with short "how to tell" talks.
ALADDIN GATHERING DISPLAY ROOM~2019~IT'S A "FREE FOR ALL!"
The Display Room for the Gathering 2019 will have the theme of
"FREE FOR ALL!" that is, whoever wants to bring and display is welcome!! It worked for Bob and Laura Daniels~we had great diversity in the
displays; it should work again this year!!
I ask that you consider bringing what your expertise, or interest is, or whatever you would like to display and setting up in the display
room! There will be plenty of room for all, and all tables, tablecloths, electrical outlets, and security will be provided. If needed,
you might consider bring an appropriately sized extension cord. Displays should be complete and colorful as possible!! Whatever you have!
I also ask these volunteers, if asked and able, to speak briefly or answer questions about their collections during the display open hours,
but this is not a requirement.
I will present the opening of The Display Room in the OAKDALE ROOMS I AND II, on FRIDAY, JULY 26 AT 9:00AM, and The Display Room will remain
open until 5:00PM. On Saturday, The Display room will reopen on Saturday, July 27 at 9:00AM until 3:00PM.
OUTSIDE GUESTS WHO PAY THE ADMISSION FEE INTO THE LAMP SHOW MAY ALSO VIEW THE DISPLAY ROOM.

Other lighting clubs such as The Rushlight Club, the Night Light
Club, and Coleman Collectors, and others participate in the Gathering,
usually with tables in the Show and giving a seminar on their specialty.
International Lamp Show & Sale
The Lamp Show is undoubtedly the largest show in the world dedicated to
antique lighting and is opened to registrants on
Friday afternoon. It's open to the public on Saturday (there is a nominal door charge to the public).
Noted dealers from many states as well as from England and Canada
feature outstanding antique lighting of all kinds.
Saturday evening is enjoyed with a delicious meal, informative program, raffle
winners and camaraderie with friends we may not see for another year.
The 2019 Gathering Lamp and Finial
Both are made in the USA. The font was made in Ohio by Mosser Glass in cobalt blue glass in the mold of the original Josephine font; the finial is a colbalt blue marble handmade by Mark Payton of Mark Payton Glass Center in Louisville, KY. The design has yet to be completed,
The finial is $30 for pick-up at the Gathering or mailed for $35 after the Gathering. 100 each of the Gathering font and finial were made and last year were sold out during the Gathering!
